That was a good weekend of racing, with something for everyone. A very hot day of Friday testing, still pretty toasty on Saturday for our more modern contingent, but it was a lot more pleasant for the classics yesterday. A good-sized 'cult classics' crowd on Sunday seemed to appreciate our Hall Bends grid walk.

Behind the scenes we were missing a few key people, including running the event with just two Motorsport UK Clerks, plus an Assistant Clerk. Graham Lindley, Simon Staveley and Les Conway worked exceptionally hard across the weekend, thank you, they are volunteers. We were also missing our deputy secretary, Jo.
Safety car observer, Joyce needed to take care of a loved one on Sunday, so at very short notice we approached Jane Blewett, wife of long-term member Chris. Jane had never been around Cadwell Park before, let alone sat in a safety car before, but she gamely stepped up, tried on a crash helmet and ultimately said she loved the experience. Due to Chris's Ginetta stranding him after just a couple of laps of the race, Jane completed more racing miles too!
