Advantage Motorsport Future Classics

The Advantage Motorsport Future Classics series is for Sports, Saloons and GT cars (with doors) from the 1970's and 1980's.

First running in 2006 the Advantage Motorsport Future Classics series is extremely popular.

There are just four simple eligibility rules - Tyres, Induction Type, Silhouette and Original engine type. The series is split into two groups for 1970s and 1980s cars with an overall winner for each decade.

Races are typically run over 40 minutes with the added excitement of a mandatory pit stop. This allows entries to be split between two drivers or even a two car team racing in relay. A 30 minute qualifying session will take place on the same day. All race-winning cars/drivers accumulate winners time penalties, helping to stop a single car/driver from dominating.

New for 2022, the series welcomes 1970s Group 4 cars and those 70s cars with dealer fit/low volume factory options, such as Escorts with X-Pack arches. These cars will slot into our existing cc-based classes, but will move up one class, to ensure fairness. This potentially permits models such as Porsche 911 RSR, BMW 3.0L CSL and M1, Alfa Romeo GT & GTV6, Fiat 131 Abarth, Opel Ascona and Manta and Ford Capri to join us/stay with us, as well as rally models like Lotus Sunbeams and Chevette's.
