2027 Calendar

Our provisional dates reveal variety and depth for club level competitors, regardless of their budget and what they drive. We have the impressive F1 circuits of Silverstone GP and Spa, through to the smaller but no less appealing Anglesey and Lydden Hill, with plenty in between!

The detailed 'who-goes-where' calendar will take at least a month to piece together. For now, we can bring you some information below about these main dates.

What's completely new?

The only UK mainland track that the CSCC has never raced on is Lydden Hill in Kent, it was long overdue that we visit this diminutive delight.

First raced on in 1947, the current 1 mile circuit has a nice flow, with some elevation change, making it ideal for cars that favour handling over power. That said, there is something very entertaining about managing a bigger rwd car here. All race will be double headers with no pit stop, given there isn't a pit lane. Many of our members will never have raced here; the paddock is spacious, scenery is pretty, with excellent viewing for guests and they serve a perfect coffee.

Highlights of what's returning?

Spa Francorchamps is, for many CSCC members, the finest racing destination they have ever visited. With construction work on the endurance pit buildings now complete, we’re looking forward to another fantastic experience in Belgium. We’ve taken your feedback on board and are using it to make the 2027 awards experience even better, while your responses to the driver surveys will help us find the right mix of cars and amount of track time to make the event work for everyone. What won't have changed is the unparalleled experience of the circuit and fabulous Belgian reception. Can we have the 2026 weather again please?

The huge, modern interseries grid will be split into two races in 2027.

After a fabulous debut this year, our popular Donington Endurance event returns, with a number of improvements too. We will move from the National to the longer Grand Prix layout, whilst still giving drivers the unique UK experience, either refuelling at the pump or in the pitlane. In 2026 we had two grids, one for classics, the other for modern cars.

For 2027, we want to grow this endurance event further still, with 3 x 2 hour races for:

Classics: (Ecurie Classic K, Swinging 60s, Hawthorn Jaguar) Modern no.1: (Tin Tops, Turbo Tin Tops, Modern Classics, Future Classics, Puma Cup)

Modern no. 2: (Slicks, Magnificent Sevens, New Millennium, Open)

Whilst we want this to be a true test of endurance for driver and machine, we will introduce a separate classification for those wishing to take part in a two-car team.

Two days at Oulton Park, giving all categories a chance of racing at this wonderful circuit. Jaguar will be the featured marque for our August Cheshire Cats event, whilst April will be a new event that we are working on with MSV; more details to be revealed in future months, with the Special Saloons & Modsports the featured category.

Anglesey returns after a break for a couple of years, with a summer slot, crucially before the school holidays and when accommodation becomes more pricey and scarce. The Coastal layout, with the breath-taking Corkscrew, is for many of you your favourite UK track. If you were going to bring family anywhere, it's here; extend your race meeting into a staycation, take in the sights, visit the local beaches and relax.

Thruxton, under new ownership and management, makes a very welcome summer return. The circuit is still very limited on racing dates, so we are fortunate to be given the opportunity to race here again. Whilst having greatly extended run-off in recent year and an excellent safety record, Thruxton is always a circuit that thrills and raises your heartrate!

Silverstone GP was your most popular single-day race event this season, it stands to reason that it would be back for '27. Lessons learned from this year are that if your usual format is 20 minute races, that's what you'll get here. 40 minute races, again, that's what you'll have here.

Your favourites

Snetterton has regularly been the CSCC's season starter; it is again back in its traditional place, with a 300 test day to wake you up in February, then a March start for two days of racing. Our previous February and March events have usually been blessed with relatively mild and dry weather, so it's worth pulling out all the stops to get the car ready early for this 3 mile track.

Brands Britannia is back to a weekend, rather than a bank holiday. Following your feedback, we will aim for most of you in 40 minute races to race and qualify on the same day. It's the Sunday that is the circuit's focus, with hordes of British car clubs descending on the Indy circuit to cheer you on.

Your most popular race weekend, by entry numbers, Donington Park National is back for two days of racing in your usual formats.

Anything else?

We will update the calendar if/when we secure any 'out-rounds' for example at Brands Hatch Grand Prix. With the support of our sponsors we will also be live-streaming selected rounds, exact ones to be confirmed later.

What's missing?

We can never please all of the members all of the time, especially when it comes to a calendar, though we do our best. If your preferred circuit isn't on our list this year, it may well appear in future seasons. We have a policy of offering members the most popular circuits, with a rotation of some of the smaller or less frequently available tracks on rotation.

A number of you have asked for a different or an additional overseas circuit. Whilst enquiries have been made and fruitful conversations started, we felt that the timing and economy had to be right for this. Whilst Zolder, Magny Cours and Dijon were loved by those who attended, we recognise they are financially out of reach for some and we need more members to support these overseas rounds to make them viable. Watch this space for 2028.
