The end of the 2026 season: Castle Combe
Saturday 17th October was a fabulous race meeting to end the 2026 season on, a real return to CSCC form, with close, clean racing throughout the grids. It was dry and sunny, but chilly. The Marshals, officials and recovery teams all played their part, helping to conclude all races before darkness fell.
Clean Racing
Across the five qualifying sessions and seven races there was just three judicials in total (where a driver is called before a Motorsport UK Clerk), one resulted in no further action, the other two were verbal warnings with no penalties or points. In club motorsport this is exceptional, well done to all of our drivers for showing respect to each other.
There isn't a CSCC race report for this one, but Marcus Pye was present, as both commentator and scribe, so please look out for his report in Motorsport News later this week.
