With support from Yokohama, the 2025 CSCC MG Trophy Championship races at Donington Park (12/13 April) will enjoy free entries, for every MG ZR entered! The championship races will be live streamed, will have the garages and a great timetable. Please get involved and spread the word, CSCC MG Trophy is here to stay.
2024 delivered some fantastic MG racing, as part of a split-start, shared-grid with the Jaguars. They might look like an unlikely pairing, but the drivers who took part agreed it worked well. This is a great chance to pick up points for championship glory.
All you need to do to take advantage of this offer is:
Join the club (£49) and register your car (£99): https://www.classicsportscarclub.co.uk/join-the-cscc
Enter the Donington Park races using the entry form on our event page, or for those already registered, using our online booking system: https://www.classicsportscarclub.co.uk/donington As the headline confirms, with thanks to Yokohama, your MG ZR entry is completely free of charge, regardless of the class or tyre make/model you choose to run (as per the regulations). No catches, whilst we hope you'll love the experience and enter more, there is no obligation.

The offer gets even better for those wanting extra track time at Donington Grand Prix layout. Cars running Yokohama A052, Toyo R888R or other list 1A/B/C tyres are automatically eligible for the Co-ordSport Tin Tops series. There is no extra registration fee, plus you can enter this 28 minute qualifying and 40 minute pit-stop race for half price (just £222.50). Tin Tops qualifying and race takes place before the MG Trophy sessions; valuable extra track time.
MG Trophy qualifying starts at 18:05 on Saturday, allowing for a comfortable arrival at the circuit that afternoon. Live streamed race 1 is 09:45 on Sunday. Live streamed race 2 is 14:05 on Sunday. All sessions are 20 minutes in length.
Draft regulations, including a new class for those racing on Toyo tyres can be found on our championship page: https://www.classicsportscarclub.co.uk/mg-trophy The CSCC is fully committed to the championship for the entire 2025 season and beyond.
We have a new Facebook group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/9689170397800395
Drivers and friends of the championship are very welcome to join.
Our 2025 calendar is here, with entry fees after Donington starting from £410, with most in the £430 to £450 range:

Tyres have been the talk of the off season in the MG ZR racing scene, with numbers of Toyo R888R being restricted at times. Adams & Page have confirmed good stock of member-discounted Yokohama slicks and A052, with fresh stock of Toyo R888R tyres for CSCC members. Remember, that whilst the faster Yokohama A052 are more expensive, they deliver superior performance in both wet and dry conditions. In order to stop stock-piling of the scarce R888R, Adams & Page will sell a set of 4 Toyos to CSCC members racing with us at Donington, with free fitting at the circuit (whilst stocks last). Please contact Adams & Page directly, see advert at the bottom of this press release.

We are pleased to confirm that Championship Co-ordinator, Geoff St John Mitchell and Eligibility Scrutineer Mike Mattison remain committed to the championship. We welcome Tony Rushforth as our new Driver Representative. Some of you may remember Tony's son, Alastair, who raced in MG Trophy for a decade, up until 2017. Tony has a ZR race car in the garage, we just need to persuade him to dust it off now!
The CSCC would like to thank both Doug Cole and Pete Macwaters for all their hard work over the previous 18 months, in helping to keep the Trophy alive after MGCC ceased race organising.
