Spinal Track: Driving Change in Motorsport

Anything is possible

The CSCC is committed to using both its resources and your club fees to deliver the best possible motorsport experience for the price. As a rule, we don’t actively support a single charity, recognising that many of our members prefer to back causes that are personally meaningful to them.

But as members of the CSCC you will know that for us motorsport is more than just racing, it’s about passion and community. That’s why for the remainder of 2026, we have chosen to spotlight Spinal Track, with the hope of raising awareness and giving members a simple option to donate when entering races, should they wish. Any contribution is entirely your choice; the club will not make donations on your behalf.

The option to donate £10 to the CSCC Marshal Fund will remain in place, giving you a choice of two wonderful causes that are directly relevant to the CSCC and club motorsport.

Spinal Track is a truly inspiring charity using the power of motorsport to transform lives. Established in 2016 by CSCC members Nathalie McGloin and Andrew Bayliss, with the simple concept that the exhilaration, freedom and joy of driving on a circuit should not be limited by disability, Spinal Track delivers fully funded track days for participants with a wide range of physical disabilities with a fleet of specially adapted cars.

Nathalie’s own story began after sustaining a spinal injury at the age of 16, she started playing wheelchair rugby three years after her accident and went on to represent her country playing for GB. Then went on to become the world’s first female tetraplegic racing driver, later holding a Guinness World Record and serving as President of the FIA Disability and Accessibility Commission. Her journey is a testament to resilience, but also to what can be achieved when opportunity meets determination - something Spinal Track now seeks to provide for others whilst ensuring that cost is never a barrier to taking part.

While the experience itself is often described as transformative, it is the community built around these events that leaves a lasting impression. This sense of community has been further strengthened by the introduction of the Spinal Track Club, a network that connects participants after the events have taken place. Through meetups and ongoing support, the club continues to supply confidence and friendships, within and beyond motorsport.

Motorsport is unique in that disabled and non-disabled competitors can compete on equal terms. It is a rare level playing field, and one that Spinal Track is determined to make more accessible. By providing the tools, opportunities and encouragement needed to get behind the wheel, the charity is helping to redefine perceptions of disability within the sport.

That mission is gaining increasing support within the racing community. The partnership with the Classic Sports Car Club (CSCC), where McGloin herself competes in our Verum Builders New Millennium and our Liqui Moly Slicks Series, highlights a shared commitment to broadening participation and ensuring that motorsport remains inclusive at every level. The connection is further strengthened by the involvement of trustee Simon Evans, who also races with the club, reinforcing the close ties between the charity and the CSCC paddock.

As a registered charity, Spinal Track operates with clear and transparent purpose: no salaries are taken, and every pound raised goes directly towards delivering experiences for its drivers. From track days to community events, the organisation now impacts hundreds of lives each year- offering not just moments of excitement, but lasting changes in confidence, independence and outlook.

For those within the motorsport world, supporting Spinal Track is an opportunity to contribute to something truly meaningful. Whether through individual donations, business partnerships or simply raising awareness, every effort helps to expand the charity’s reach and ensure that more people can experience the unique freedom that driving provides.

Because, as Spinal Track continues to prove, motorsport is not just about racing, it’s about possibility.
