When we trialled this at Cadwell Park last month the idea was clearly popular with you. 24 cars from the Co-ordSport Tin Tops, Puma Cup and Fox Transport Turbo Tin Tops battled it out, in a shorter, cut-priced race.
We're doing the same again at Castle Combe on Saturday 2nd August, with a 15 minute race at the end of the day, for just £95, if you have already entered either 'main' race earlier that day. https://www.classicsportscarclub.co.uk/castlecombe
Taking the best times set in qualifying, this is a sprint race for one driver, with classes as per your series. No winners penalties to serve, or to accrue, just a sprint to the end to see who is fastest in each category and overall. Last time out it was a naturally aspirated Tin Tops who beat their forced-induction cousin by just 1.8 seconds. Could the faster Castle Combe layout favour a powerful Turbo or Supercharged car?
Entries to this and all other races at the Castle Combe Modern & Retro event are open now.
