New: Class CH, for controlled specification Midgets and Sprites on historic tyres.

After consultation with committee members, including Gil Duffy and Tony Hunting, as well as drivers including Mark Turner and Dominic Mooney, we are pleased to announce that with immediate effect we have added a new, 'class CH' to our Midland Classic Restorations Classic K Series.

This class is exclusively for Midgets and Sprites that strictly conform to the Lackford Engineering Midget & Sprite Challenge, class H. Those competitors wanting to take part in both Classic K and Midget & Sprite Challenge at the same race event will receive a 50% discount off of their second race entry (the cheaper entry being discounted), making for excellent value motorsport.

Lackford Engineering Midget & Sprite class H regulations, see page 23 lower onwards:

These cars are well-presented, with drivers demonstrating respectful driving standards. Cars must run Dunlop L or the equivalent Continental Renner historic tyres, with pre-1966 body types and the specification of the engine, suspension, brakes and other core components restricted. Whilst these cars don't run to FIA papers, the lap times these cars produce will complement the tail and midfield Classic K grid.
