Official CSCC Photographer, David Stallard has walked miles, to bring you photographs from every angle and in every qualifying and race session. You can view and buy his photos, in high quality, in date order here: CSCC 2025 - David-Stallard
Whilst we don't have a written race report for this one, all races were live-streamed. The Gold Arts Magnificent Sevens race 1 wasn't visible on the day, but was recorded and has now been added to the club YouTube channel, under 'videos'.
All other races can be replayed from both days:
The live stream company are very receptive to feedback and we have politely passed on a few of your comments given, that where two categories share a grid, they both deserve an equal billing. It is inevitable though, that some drivers are featured more than others, with a focus on the front runners.
You can be certain that Marc Peters will be working late into the nights on his Mac, crafting two artistic highlights videos, for your viewing pleasure. These will be added to our YouTube channel and Facebook page in a few days time.
Thank you to our social media reporter, Sue Ling Chan-Wyles, who was working with us at Donington for the very first time. There is a lot to learn when thrown in the deep end, but Sue did a great job adding results and photos to our main Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ClassicSportsCarClub Look out for some reels and shorts from the weekend.
Here are a handful of random, positive recollections from the weekend:
First and most importantly, a huge thank you to the Marshals, Officials, committee members, circuit team and everyone involved behind the scenes that helped make this weekend happen. After two high-profile events at Donington in succession, coupled with a date clash at Goodwood, it proved very difficult to find sufficient Marshals. We have huge appreciation for each and every one of you for helping us, working so hard throughout. We know they are long days, with a short break time, we can only hope you enjoyed the variety and volume of cars on display.

Thank you also to the many CSCC drivers who remain nameless, but choose to donate extra money to the club Marshals fund when they enter our races. Your generosity helps us donate £20 per day to our Donington Marshals, as a gesture towards their costs.
Large grids have the potential to produce large headaches, if drivers and teams don't consider their fellow racers. Fortunately, you listened and acted, with no parking issues to report, in fact we had quite a bit of space. Drivers relocated after testing, even the articulated lorries moved as instructed. We saw plenty of private cars parked outside the paddock, excellent. No-one gave security a hard time about when they could enter the paddock and we thank particularly the Alpha Lexis Law Firm Jaguars patience during the handover on Saturday afternoon.

Whilst we did have some challenges on track in a few races, the vast majority witnessed high quality club racing at its best. The overall win in the second Gold Arts Magnificent Sevens race went to Christian Pittard, just 0.329 seconds ahead of Stephen Nuttall.

After 40 minutes of racing, second place overall in our first Adams & Page Swinging 60s race was decided by an even smaller margin, 25 thousandths of a second. Stephen Collins (MGB) just held on to the line, a whisker ahead of the Lenham Sprite of James Hughes, both were beaming when interviewed by Jack Werrell, with not a mark on either car.

The weather was kind for our third event of the year (including our track day), although Sunday was noticeably fresher. We briefly had a sprinkling of 'psychological rain' to get the attention of our Ramair BMW Championship competitors.
Talking of which, Driver Representative Jason West spoke to BMW font of knowledge Garrie Whittaker. We think the last time the former Kumho BMW Championship surpassed 31 entries may have been back in 2009. Thank you all for supporting the Ramair BMW Championship, your first race on Sunday was excellent.

The last time the Alpha Lexis Law Firm Jaguar Championship (formerly JEC) last reached 25 cars at Donington was back in 2018. An excellent display put on by these big machines and their colourful drivers (meant as a compliment).

The Morgan Challenge also reached 25 cars, their highest number at a CSCC round for a number of years. With 23 JMC Racing Special Saloons & Modsports also entered on the split-start grid, we were oversubscribed. After some mechanical woes struck down a number of competitors in qualifying, every reserve got to race. The split starts were well controlled by the front row of the Morgans and the etiquette between both groups excellent. That said, we have no plans for the pair to run on the same grid for the rest of 2025.
