Tin Tops

Started in 2005 the Tin Tops has become a very popular and well supported series. Tin Tops caters for Saloon and Hatchback cars with engine capacity under 2 litres, 4 cylinder (non turbo/supercharged cars, except turbo diesels) of any age. It is also particularly suited to novice racers who can start in relatively cheap cars and move on as they gain experience. Popular models that race within Tin Tops include Fiesta, Saxo, 106, Clio, Civic, Focus, 306, Integra and many more.

The class structure is based on engine capacity to encourage competitive racing through the field and give everyone something to race for. Cars are battling all down the field and provide great entertainment - spectators can watch their favourite "hot hatches" being driven on the limit!

Following the standard CSCC series format, the races are run over forty minutes and include the added excitment of a mandatory pit-stop, so that two drivers may share a car (and costs). A 30 minute qualifying session will take place on the same day. Entries may be from single drivers or two drivers sharing a car. To help keep costs down even further for people who don't want to do (and pay for) more than a 20 minute race or share their car, two drivers may enter as a team in two cars racing in relay.

All outright race winning cars/drivers will accumulate winners time penalties, helping to stop a single car from dominating.

Your Tin Tops Driver Representative is Stuart Levers. He can be contacted via the CSCC Office with any eligibility queries, using the 'Contact Us' button above.
