The Classic Sports Car Club has launched an online, informal, virtual racing series to help keep CSCC members and CSCC Marshals and Officials entertained and keep their competitive spirits high, as we await the resumption of the motor racing season.
With 'actual' racing on pause for now, the CSCC believes club racers should get the chance to flex their competitive 'virtual' muscles, online, in a dedicated series. Whilst it's not the same as the real thing, it is useful practice for perfecting racing lines. As usual, the CSCC expects high driving standards and no contact, but, should the worse happen there are no bills for damage!
Using 'Project Cars 2' on PC, PS4 and XBox, multiple, simultaneous races take place on the same date. Race length and which car will be used will change from round to round, more information can be found on the Virtual Racing Facebook page.
Most of the time we will run with default setups and in the same car across the board to ensure parity, however, we may use different cars for each round, giving you a new appreciation for what it's like with different wheel drive, slicks, historic tyres, sequential gearboxes and old and new cars.
The 2020 CSCC Virtual Racing Series Calendar is as follows (subject to change):
3 April – Snetterton: Liqui Moly New Millennium, Renault Clio Cup 2 x 20 minute races
