Silverstone GP Spectacular, 22nd June. Entries open Thursday at Midday.

The second of our two visits to Silverstone, this time on the modern 3.64 mile Grand Prix layout. Just two weeks later, F1 arrives, perhaps an ideal opportunity to compare lap times?

We'll be based in the spacious National/Heritage paddock. The GP track is the longest and widest in the UK, with a huge 61 car capacity. As we have mentioned previously, it is also the most expensive to hire in the UK, hence all races contain at least two suitable categories combined, to keep your entry fees to a sensible level and give you a decent racing experience.

When entries open tomorrow (Thursday 18th April) you can find a draft timetable and links to entry on the event page here: www.classicsportscarclub.co.uk/2024-silverstone-gp

For the Morgan Challenge drivers, they get to experience a new format, with a pit-stop race for the first time, after a split start. They are mixing with suitable CSCC cars, from the 1970s through to the late 90s.

The Slicks, New Millennium, Special Saloons & Modsports and BMW Championship have 2 x 20 minute races, something that is new to some of these categories. The BMW's will start separately.

In action at this meeting (in no particular order) are:

Gold Arts Magnificent Sevens Verum Builders Open Series Advantage Motorsport Future Classics Morgan Challenge Modern Classics (Garages) Turbo Tin Tops (Garages) Puma Cup (Garages) Co-ordSport Tin Tops (Garages)

Ramair BMW Championship WOSP New Millennium Liqui Moly Slicks

JMC Racing Special Saloons & Modsports Adams & Page Swinging 60s Mintex Classic K

Members who have registered their cars can either enter online, or by using the entry form on our event page, where you can also find a provisional timetable.

Testing Testing is available on Friday 21st June, on the Grand Prix layout, by booking directly with Silverstone: https://www.silverstone.co.uk/track-days/testing/2024-06-21-general-testing

The Verum Builders Open Series and Gold Arts Magnificent Sevens will qualify and race first. This gives many an opportunity of a half-priced second race, to get warmed up and maximise your time at the circuit. Simply enter both races at full price and we will refund you the 50% second race a short time afterwards.
