Arron GroombridgeMotorsport Assistant/Officials Co-ordinator
A penniless history degree student means road car experience has been limited to two MK1 Ford Focuses. Confident he holds the record for the most amount of punctures and wheel bearing failures suffered for that particular model!
Arron has a soft spot for most forms of motorsport, in particular endurance sports car racing. Road car wise, most 1970s/1980s luxury saloon & GT cars do the trick, or a current Volvo S90.

I have held a competition licence since the age of 17 (1973) and been involved in motorsport ever since. I started in grass roots motorsport
including autotests, road rallies & hill climbs, later sprinting my road going Fiat 128 Coupe,
winning the BARC championship in 1980. I
competed in stage rallies until the cost became too much, then switched to the circuits in the mid 1980’s. I started competing in historics in 2005.
