The Mintex Classic K series is for pre 1966 GT and Touring cars running to FIA Appendix K (no sports racers). It was first introduced in 2010 running for two seasons before a gap of two years and was successfully re-introduced in 2014 due to renewed demand. This series represents great value for money in what has become an increasingly expensive area of motorsport. We have a refreshingly common sense attitude to eligibility and scrutineering. Our technical regulations are simple, cars must run to Appendix K, the only tyres permitted are Dunlop Historic L or M.
The series is split over 8 classes, including separate classes for Jaguar E-Type, MGB and Marcos/Lotus Elan.
Costs for racing this category of cars have soared over the past few years, so the Classic Sports Car Club have taken measure to bring great value back to these classics. A series of one hour races with compulsory pit stop for one or two drivers with a 30 minute qualifying session taking place on the same day. Entry costs will remain the same regardless of whether the entry is from a single or two driver team.
All race winning cars/drivers will accumulate winners penalties to help prevent a single car dominating.
Those cars that do not have in date FIA papers may still be eligible, we can issue CSCC VIF papers in many cases.
